INDEXING
The History Group specializes in indexing historical collections. We have indexed collections containing tens of thousands of documents and we have adopted solutions to meet a wide range of document types. We have collected, collated, data entered and digitized historical collections for clients ranging from non-profits to governments. Indexing is an intrinsic part of all of our practice areas and it is something we do with great confidence.
Our indexing strategies are based on our experience searching for information and extracting information from research databases. We understand the type and format of information necessary to maximize the searchability of an index. Our indexing is thorough, reliable, and comprehensive. We believe that an index of documents should be straightforward and easy to navigate and we know our clients think so too.

DATABASES
The History Group knows databases. We have designed, implemented and maintained databases containing hundreds to hundreds of thousands of records. We have worked with clients to develop entirely new database systems and we have worked with clients to improve existing databases systems. In each case, we have applied our experience in the area of records management to design databases and protocols that maximize usability and searchability.
The History Group encourages the fusion of history and technology. As research moves from paper records to electronic images, we too recognize the advantages of technology and although we study the past, we certainly operate in the future. We offer our clients an array of database solutions that are cost-effective and easy to use.
