NICOLE READ, President
Master of Arts, History (SFU, BC)
Nicole founded The History Group Inc. out of a strong commitment to the value of history as well as the principles of historical research. Combining her passion for the past with her entrepreneurial spirit, Nicole is pleased to assist a diverse range of clients to leverage their histories.
Nicole completed her Bachelor of Arts in History in 1999, and her Master of Arts in History in 2003, both at Simon Fraser University. Since 2000, Nicole has project managed numerous historical research projects. She specializes in providing documentary evidence for civil litigation and is proficient in the design and implementation of research databases.
JACQUELINE STEPHENS, Research Manager
Master of Arts, Interdisciplinary Studies (UNBC, BC)
Jacqueline completed her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology (Major) and Russian Studies (Minor) in 2003, and her Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2005, both at the University of Northern British Columbia. Since 2003, Jacqueline has specialized in the area of First Nations research.
RYAN BLAAK, Corporate Development Leader

Ryan completed his Bachelor of Arts in History at Trinity Western University in 2002, and his Master of Arts in History at the University of British Columbia in 2003. Since 2002, Ryan has specialized in the area of Historical Research and is an instructor in the Department of History at Trinity Western University. After working in the area of Advancement Research at Trinity Western, Ryan joined The History Group as Corporate Development Leader.
MARJORIE DUNLOP, Research Specialist
Bachelor of Arts, Archaeology (SFU, BC)
Advanced Diploma in Geographic Information Systems (BCIT, BC)
Marjorie completed her Bachelor of Arts in Archaeology at Simon Fraser University in 1992. She then went on to complete an Advanced Diploma in Geographic Information Systems at the British Columbia Institute for Technology in 1997. Since 1990, Marjorie has specialized in the areas of Archaeological Research and First Nations Research. Marjorie is instrumental in providing quality assurance mechanisms.
NAWAL MUSLEH-MOTUT, Research Specialist
Master of Arts, History (SFU, BC)
Nawal completed her Bachelor of Arts in Communications (Major) and History (Minor) in 2004, and her Master of Arts in History in 2006, both at Simon Fraser University. Nawal also holds a Diploma in Radio Broadcast Communications from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Nawal specializes in the area of Historical Research and is currently working in the area of First Nations claims. She has a particular passion for Middle Eastern History.

Jonathan completed his Bachelor of Arts in History in 2003, and his Master of Arts in History in 2004, both at Queen’s University. Jonathan has a background in research ethics and is currently working in the area of First Nations claims.

Angela completed a Bachelor of Arts in History at Simon Fraser University in 2004, and a Master of Arts in History at York University in 2006. Angela is specialized in the area of Historical Research and is currently working in the area of First Nations Claims.
ZAHEERA JESSANI, Researcher
Bachelor of Arts, Criminology (Major) and Sociology (Major) (SFU, BC)
Zaheera completed her Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Criminology and Sociology at Simon Fraser University in 2006. Since 2005, Zaheera has undertaken research in a number of areas, including restorative justice, terrorism, and First Nations claims.
