Our Approach
The History Group is experienced at handling a wide-range of projects for a diverse base of clients. The role that we serve in your organization will determine the key elements of your project design. All projects plans designed by our management team, have the following components in common:
- Project Management Plan
- List of Project Team Members
- Schedule and Description of Deliverables
- Quality Control Plan
- Technology Plan
“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit”
- Aristotle
PROJECT MANAGEMENT PLAN
Prior to commencing work on your project, we will design a project management plan that suits the needs of your organization. A Project Manager will be assigned to your project and will:
- Liaise with your own appointed project contact
- Oversee all stages of your project
- Provide regular updates on deliverables
- Manage all project team members
LIST OF PROJECT TEAM MEMBERS
The list of project team members assigned to your project is dependant on size and could range from one researcher to fifty researchers or more. Our core team is supplemented by a roster of experienced subcontractors that enable our organization to expand to any size necessary to meet your needs. Your Project Team will be made up of researchers whose expertise is well poised to best address your deliverables.
SCHEDULE AND DESCRIPTION OF DELIVERABLES
Deadlines are a very regular part of what we do at The History Group. Our experience working on a diverse range of projects enables us to provide very accurate estimates of the amount of time needed to complete each of your deliverables. Your project plan will include a description of all deliverables to be completed and a schedule for when you can expect them.
QUALITY CONTROL PLAN
Quality control is an essential element of all research projects, but it is especially important to our litigation clients. At The History Group, we pride ourselves on the accuracy, reliability, and thoroughness of our research. Our internal quality control mechanisms are key to many of our clients, enabling us to guarantee our work.
TECHNOLOGY PLAN
Depending on the nature of your deliverables and the type of records we collect and review, your project may require a technological component. Our team is experienced in digitizing records and we are able to deliver documents in a number of programs. A technology plan may be part of your project if:
- You are a litigation client required to produce documents for court
- You are a government that needs to access records cited in a historical report
- You are a corporation who would like an interactive database of your history
Our team has experience working with a range of database programs and web technologies. Our technological expertise enables us to design and implement an entirely new system, or import records and/or images into an existing program.
