JUNIOR RESEARCHER (Term)

Number of positions: Several
Anticipated Start Date: Ongoing
Compensation: Negotiable

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts in a research related discipline (or near completion)
  • 0-1 years of professional research experience in a related field
  • Experience identifying and synthesizing information
  • Experience writing analytical reports
  • Experience searching for information in databases
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines
  • Proven decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions
  • Knowledge of First Nations history and issues an asset
  • Fluency in French an asset
  • Ability to work from a home office and/or client office

Duties

  • Entering document details into research databases based on set protocols
  • Reviewing documents for research issues and terms and entering codes in research databases
  • Reviewing archival files to identify documents based on a set scope
  • Reviewing documents for key issues
  • Compiling analytical reports and narratives
  • Writing progress updates to management

 

Senior RESEARCHER (Term)

Number of positions: Several
Anticipated Start Date: Ongoing
Compensation: Negotiable

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts in a research related discipline (minimum)
  • 1-2 years of professional research experience in a related field
  • Experience writing analytical reports
  • Experience with research databases
  • Experience compiling research plans
  • Experience reviewing archival files
  • Experience creating research protocols
  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines
  • Proven decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of Aboriginal grievances an asset
  • Fluency in French an asset
  • Ability to work from a home office and/or client office

Duties

  • Compiling analytical reports and narratives
  • Designing research plans
  • Creating research protocols and methodologies
  • Ordering, reviewing and tracking archival files
  • Coordination of research projects
  • Writing progress updates to management
