JUNIOR RESEARCHER (Term)
Number of positions: Several
Anticipated Start Date: Ongoing
Compensation: Negotiable
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts in a research related discipline (or near completion)
- 0-1 years of professional research experience in a related field
- Experience identifying and synthesizing information
- Experience writing analytical reports
- Experience searching for information in databases
- High level of attention to detail
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines
- Proven decision-making skills
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions
- Knowledge of First Nations history and issues an asset
- Fluency in French an asset
- Ability to work from a home office and/or client office
Duties
- Entering document details into research databases based on set protocols
- Reviewing documents for research issues and terms and entering codes in research databases
- Reviewing archival files to identify documents based on a set scope
- Reviewing documents for key issues
- Compiling analytical reports and narratives
- Writing progress updates to management
Senior RESEARCHER (Term)
Number of positions: Several
Anticipated Start Date: Ongoing
Compensation: Negotiable
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts in a research related discipline (minimum)
- 1-2 years of professional research experience in a related field
- Experience writing analytical reports
- Experience with research databases
- Experience compiling research plans
- Experience reviewing archival files
- Experience creating research protocols
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines
- Proven decision-making skills
- Knowledge of Aboriginal grievances an asset
- Fluency in French an asset
- Ability to work from a home office and/or client office
Duties
- Compiling analytical reports and narratives
- Designing research plans
- Creating research protocols and methodologies
- Ordering, reviewing and tracking archival files
- Coordination of research projects
- Writing progress updates to management
